Community
"...The fact that Jerry Baker is a gifted photographer is only a bonus to your paper. The fact that Jerry Baker has a heart of gold and truly cares about the people and kids of Montgomery County is your true blessing. Since Jerry Baker came to Montgomery County, he has enthusiastically and equitably gone the extra mile for out community. It is obvious that he loves his work and enjoys people. He is a warm, caring individual who shines in a positive light on your newspaper. Thank you, Jerry, for being a bright spot in a world where people always seem to be a little cranky. I believe God is pleased!"

Dedication
"To the editor :
We have noticed that Jerry Baker is no longer photographing for The Courier, and we would be remiss if we didn’t comment on his work there.
In his many years at The Courier, Jerry has serviced the county and community well with his expert photographic coverage of local events while seemingly having the ability to be everywhere for everybody all at the same time. Jerry’s photography was a big part of the Conroe area and so was Jerry himself. He supported and befriended thousands of his captured subjects as though they were family members. His photos and his kind words and the encouragement allowed moments and memories to be remembered by many. "
